PURPOSE:To improve document delivery ability by initiating next paper feed when the leading edge of a document reaches a position, a prescribed distance on this side from a discharge roller in the captioned method wherein the document is stopped when the rear end thereof makes coincidence with a document stop reference position. CONSTITUTION:When documents are placed at a prescribed position on a document table 1 and a document set sensor 2 is turned on, a document separating belt 3 is rotated, and only one sheet of said documents completely separated on a separating plate 4 is carried by a delivery roller 5 and a conveyer belt 9 onto contact glass 13. When the rear end of the document reaches a reference position A, the document is stopped and subjected to an exposure treatment. When a document discharge signal is supplied after exposure completion, the document is discharged on the tray 12 side by the conveyer belt 9 and the paper feed roller 11. When the leading edge of the discharged document on the document table reaches a position, a distance D up to the reference stop position A, on this side from the discharge roller 11, paper feed for the next document is initiated. |
