PURPOSE:To enhance the practicality of a large-capacity paper feeder, by providing the feeder with a paper conveyor insertable into the cassette insertion opening of the body of a conventional imaging apparatus of the paper cassette insertion type and by using a positioning means to easily match the feeder and the apparatus body to each other. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeder A comprises a large-capacity paper housing section 1 composed of a vertically movable rest, on which a large amount of paper is stacked, and of a paper feed mechanism for sending out the stacked sheets of paper one by one from the uppermost one, and a one-sheet paper conveying and stand-by section 2 including a conveying base 6 fittable into the paper cassette insertion opening 101 of the body B of an imaging apparatus. A cam plate 74 for appointing the size of paper to be used is protruded from the front of the base 65 so that the cam plate selectively operates one of paper size detection switch groups of the imaging apparatus. When the paper feeder A and the imaging apparatus B are assembled with each other, the positioning pin 116 of the imaging apparatus is inserted into the pin hole 116a of the paper feeder so that the feeder and the apparatus are positioned to each other. |
