The anchoring body (2), to be inserted into the ground, of the rod (1) of the marking device has a shaft (3) and a threaded section (4). The anchoring body (2) is made of plastic and connected to the rod (1) via a rubber tube (32) acting as a bending joint. The diameters of said shaft (3) and of the rod (1) are approximately the same. The shaft (3) and the rod (1) extend partially into the rubber tube (32) and are held by collars (33). Such a marking device is suitable for marking gates in skiing and can easily be inserted into the ground and reduces the risk of injury for the skier.
