<p>PURPOSE:To improve printing quality on a thermal head by providing a remaining protruding conductor piece after being fused by the energization of an adjustment current on a strip-shaped conductor which is integrally connected to a pair of conducting electrodes at the back of a thermal resistor. CONSTITUTION:Each conducting electrode 2, 3a, 3b is formed on a substrate 1 by various means such as photoetching, and a common conducting electrode 2 and an individual conducting electrode 3a, 5b are integrally connected by a strip-like conductor. Next, a resistance paste is printed and baked to form a thermal resistor 6a, 6b and a resistance between the electrodes 2, 3a as well as the electrodes 2, 3b is measured. In this case, both resistance values are lower than a required resistance value R0 because the strip-like conductor is in 'pre-fusing state'. After this, the strip-like conductor is fused by running an adjustment current individually to the electrodes 3a, 3b from the electrode 2 so that both resistance values may equal to R0. Thus the heating section of a thermal head is obtained.</p> |
