For supporting and calibrating blown films above the freeze line, it is necessary to enclose the tubular film, inflated to form a film bubble, with annular supporting elements from the outside. To be able to support the inflated tubular film without contact, the supporting elements comprise U-shaped rings (2), which are provided with inwardly open ring channels (5) and have connections (7) for feeding in cooling air.
