摘要 <p>The laser with the mirror containing excitation system has a rod-shaped stimulatable medium with a parallel, tubular excitation light source. The latter is formed by a flash lamp with transparent tube with a discharge path with low inductance high voltage capacitor, as in 1947604. The flash-lamp is fitted with gas inlet and outlet branches (10, 12), enabling the through flow of the gas. The gas composition and flow velocity is so chosen as to quench the spark after each discharge, while simultaneously cooling the flash lamp. The operating gas is preferably a mixture of argon and nitrogen, at a pressure in the lamp exceeding 1.8 bar. The middle section (4) of the flash lamp (3) may be formed by a capillary.</p>
