The press has a vertically-moving bending tool (9) with an operating element (19). A position sensor (23) is operated by the element and interrupts the vertical movement of the tool. The position of the element can be adjusted by a linear displacement. The element can be displaced in the same direction as the tool. A screw mechanism (27,29) sets the position of the element and has its screw spindle connected to the element via a thread. The spindle moves axially. A stepping motor (PM) rotates the spindle and is driven by a manually-operated pulse generator (67H). |
