Cable material drying unit - having a continuous mesh material conveyor passing over suction drums

The equipment to dry textile material, esp. folded strands of continuous synthetic fibres, uses mesh drums held under suction. The strand material is carried on a continuous mesh band through the treatment zone, with the mesh drums located under the load-bearing level of the mesh band. There is no requirement for seals at the edges of the conveyor band against the housing wall or against the fan section to prevent soiling of the thermal sensor. The passage of the air from the band to the fan is also improved so there is less air flow loss in the suction channel to the fan.
