PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply workpieces, easily and rapidly, by forming several grooves for receiving therein the workpieces, in the outer peripheral surface of a conveyor belt over the entire periphery thereof, and as well by providing, on the discharge outlet side of the belt conveyor, a device for feeding out the workpieces toward the grooves. CONSTITUTION:Upon feeding of plate-like workpieces 13 these are at first successively inserted into serveral grooves 12 formed in the holder 3 of a conveyor 2 on the inlet side of the conveyor 2. Then, one of workpiece 13 which has come to the outlet side of the conveyor 2 is pushed, at one side edge thereof, by a feed pawl 17 that constitutes a feed-out device 16, and is then transferred in the direction R between both guides 21 while it is carried, at its lower edge, by a rail 23. At this time the feed pawl 17 is once circulated by a fixed torque drive mechanism 20 through transfer means 19, 18 in association with one pitch advance of the conveyor 2. Then, the workpiece 13 is inserted between both belts 27, 28 through the guides 21. On the way of transfer of the workpiece 13 by both belts 27, 28, the workpiece 13 is subjected to a plating process, etc., in a plating bath 29. |
