摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to detect the negative intake pressure exactly even at the time of partial- cylinder operation of an engine, by synchronizing the negative intake pressure sampling timing with operated cylinders at the time of partial-cylinder operation of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A means for judging whether the number of cylinders to be operated is to be reduced or not makes judgement on the basis of various data relating to the temperature of cooling water, negative intake pressure, engine speed, opening of a throttle valve, etc. according to the operational conditions of an engine and switches the operation mode of the engine to partial-cylinder operation by a means for controlling the number of cylinders to be operated when it is required from the result of the above judgement. At the same time, the negative intake pressure sampling timing at the time of partial-cylinder operation of the engine is synchronized with operated cylinders by controlling a timing determining means. On the other hand, a sampling means samples the negative intake pressure by a negative intake pressure detecting means at the determined sampling timing, and the value of the negative intake pressure or the mean value is applied to a fuel injection quantity control means of an electronically controlled fuel injection means. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to detect the negative intake pressure exactly even at the time of partial-cylinder operation of the engine.
