PURPOSE:To enable to perform continuous automatic printing by a printer for sheet form paper, by a method wherein a printing medium constituting a printing line orthogonal to the feeding direction of a paper is provided between two adjacent sets of rollers. CONSTITUTION:A sheet form paper, particularly a thick paper card, is fed so that information stored in a computer can be printed on the paper while assuming that the paper is continuously supplied. Namely, the sheet form paper 1 is fed toward the printing medium 5 by feeding rollers 2. In this case, stability of position in vertical and transverse directions relative to the feeding direction is secured by a feeding surface 3 and a guide 4, while a required feed quantity is obtained by the rotation of the rollers 2. In this condition, the paper is passed between the printing medium 5 and a platen 6 while being printed, then the leading end of the apper 1 reaches the second feeding rollers 2', thereafter the paper 1 is separated from the first feeding rollers 2, and is fed by the second feeding rollers 2'. The sheet form paper feeding mechanism thus constructed can contrive to automatically feed the paper into the printing part and to automatically discharge the paper from the printing part. In addition, thick paper cards which are difficult to bend can be also fed. |
