<p>PURPOSE:To prevent decrease in accuracy by providing a means for detecting a sheet provided on a moving path for the sheet, the 1st timer which starts timing operation upon receiving of the signal for the rear end of the sheet and the 2nd detecting means provided near the outlet of the moving line. CONSTITUTION:A jam detector has the 1st detecting means S1 which is provided in the inlet of a moving line and detects a copying sheet (expressed hereunder as a sheet), an integrating circuit which removes the erroneous rear end signal from the means S1, the 1st timer T1 which starts timing operation upon receiving of the signal for the rear end of the sheet and the 2nd detecting means S2 which is provided near the outlet of the moving line and detects the sheet. The detection of the 1st jam in the section before the sheet detecting means and the detection of the 2nd jam in the section after said means are made possible according to such constitution, by which the accuracy in the detection of the jam is improved.</p> |
