PURPOSE:To detect the increase in the fracture of a fiber element and to prevent the excessive increase in the fracture by having a means for detecting the quantity of the light transmitted through an optical fiber bundle at time intervals and a means for storing the quantity value of the transmitted light detected by said means for detecting the quantity of the transmitted light. CONSTITUTION:A prism 15 for splitting quantity of light is interposed between an image guide 11 and an eyepiece lens 14 in an eyepiece part 7 so that a part of the luminoux flux transmitted through the guide 11 is taken out and is made incident to an image sensing element 16 as a detecting element for a means for detecting the quantity of light. An amplifier circuit 22 connected to the element 16 is provided to an electrical circuit 21, by which the image sensing signal from the element 16 is amplified. The analog signal is then converted to a digital signal which is inputted to a storage device 25. The time when the fracture of the fiber element increases is thus checked and the excessive increase in the fracture is prevented. |
