PURPOSE:To obtain a shifted result at a high and constant speed by adding an expected shift amount to a shift amount offset and using a basic pattern and the added shift amount as an address, and reading the shifted result which is stored previously in the location of a memory corresponding to the address. CONSTITUTION:The shift amount is stored in the location 16 of an ROM4 together with the shift amount offset. When data to be shifted is inputted as an address to the ROM4, its coded basic pattern and the shift amount offset are outputted separately. The expected shift amount is added to this shift amount offset by an adder 5 and the result and coded basic pattern are supplied as a new address to an ROM6. Data as the shifted result to the respective locations is stored in the ROM6 and final shift data is obtained from the ROM6. |
