TRACER CONTROL SYSTEM

The system includes circuitry for calculating trace direction and trace velocity from displacement signals of tracer head tracing the model surface during a selected tracing operation corresponding to a selected trace mode. A trace mode selecting device is provided. A respective set of parameters for defining the selected tracing operation for the selected trace mode is displayed, and a device for selectively setting the value of each parameter during the display is included.
