PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of color shear, by making it easy to index a position at which a printing seal is stuck on an endless belt of a film base of a belt-type multicolor printer, and by sticking the printing seal on the film base employed subsequently, on the basis of a print position employed previously as reference. CONSTITUTION:Rolled paper 50 is set on a plate cylinder 22 and a regulation cylinder 34 of a first belt-stretching mechanism 22 so as to form an endless paper belt. Then, a position at which a printing seal for a first color is set is indexed on the rolled paper 50 by a plotter 26. Meanwhile, a film base 48 for printing the first color is set round endlessly on a second belt-stretching mechanism 24. Then, by rotating the first belt- stretching mechanism 22, the indexed position for printing the first color, which is plotted on the rolled paper 50, is made to come to a position to which a projection is made through a half mirror 28. By this operation, the indexed position is transmitted through the mirror, and then is refracted and projected onto the film base 48. Since said indexed position serves as a reference position for sticking the seal for the first color, an operator sticks the seal 52 to this position and prints the first color on the rolled paper 50. Next, a second color pattern is printed on the basis of the print pattern of the first color. |
