PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, convenient, and safe agitator by generating a revolving magnetic field, exerting the electromagnetic inductivity on an agitator in a vessel, and giving turning effort to the agitator. CONSTITUTION:Six coils A-F are wound around an annular iron core 1 at intervals of 60 deg. angle, and a vitreous cylindrical vessel 2 is placed on the iron core 1. An agitator 6 formed by furnishing a bar magnet 4 and an impeller 5 getting buoyancy by rotation to a synthetic resinous disk 3 suitably perforated with holes 7 is provided in the vessel 2. An alternating current respectively having same phase is supplied cyclically respectively to A and D, B and E, and C and F of said coils through a phase shifter in order to generate a revolving magnetic field in the vicinity of the center of the iron core 1. The bar magnet 4 receiving turning effort owing to the action of the revolving magnetic field rotates together with the agitator 6. The buoyancy of the agitator 6 is formed by the impeller 5, and the agitator 6 is rotated at a position balanced with gravity. Since the frequency of the electric current flowing through coils A-F can be changed with the phase shifter, the number of revolutions of the agitator is changed by changing the speed of the revolving magnetic field. |
