PURPOSE:To save expenses by providing a vessel for dropping ink below a plurality of wiping rollers, and by providing wiping paper which has virtually the same width of these wiping rollers, contacts with the peripheral surfaces thereof and is fed at slow speed in the reverse direction to the rotation of the peripheral surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of wiping rollers are made to contact with each other oppositely, the peripheral surfaces of these rollers contacting with each other oppositely are moved round in the everse direction to each other, and ink is scraped off by the slipping motion between the rollers and a scraping member. At the same time, wiping paper is made to contact with the rollers and fed at slow speed in the direction reverse to the rotation of the rollers so that the ink on the peripheral surfaces of the rollers can be wiped off. More concretely, paper 1 is wound round on the peripheral surface of an impression cylinder 9 and then chucked by a paper-discharging chain 13, whereby it is conveyed to be discharged. Meanwhile, ink is applied on an intaglio cylinder 10, and surplus ink sticking on a portion not defined by lines is scraped off into a tray 26. The ink left, as a slight stain, on the peripheral surfaces of the rollers 23 and 24 after said surplus ink is scraped off is further scraped off by the sliding wiping paper 27 while being fed at slow speed in the direction reverse to the direction of rotation of the peripheral surfaces. According to such a constitution, the re-use of the ink is enabled without using any harmful solvent. |
