PURPOSE:To enhance time stability and resistance to chemicals such as oils and fats and plasticizers of an image, by using a zinc salt of a specified acid in combination with a photopolymerization initiator as a recorded image stabilizer in a thermal recording material comprising a leuco dye as a color former. CONSTITUTION:Zinc acrylate or alpha-alkylarylate is used in combination with a photopolymerization initiator as a recorded image stalilizer in the thermal recording material utilizing a color forming reaction between a leuco dye and a color developer. Any photopolymerization initiator which generates radicals when being irradiated with light to initiate the polymerization of lead arylate or alpha-alkylacrylate can be used, for example, those based on benzoin, benzyl, benzophenone or the like, and particular examples thereof include benzoin, benzoin ethyl ether and benzoin isopropyl ether. The initiator is preferably used in an amount of 0.01-5wt% to zinc arylate of alpha-alkylarylate. |
