The stand comprises a profiled bar and a panel attached thereto by means of a connector. An undercut longitudinal groove is located in the profiled bar, the connector engaging into said undercut by means of a clamping head. The clamping head is connected via a neck to a coupling element on which connector surfaces, having a fastening bore perpendicular to said coupling element, are located. In order to be able to arrange panels of different thicknesses in an aligned or flush manner with respect to a longitudinal side of the profiled bar, the connector surfaces are arranged at various distances from the neck of the connector.
