Process and device for the continuous production of decorative and technical laminates

In a process for the continuous production of decorative and technical laminates by curing a plurality of paper webs, or other fibre-containing webs, impregnated with thermoset synthetic resins in a curing zone with simultaneous pressure and temperature application on the press assembly consisting of the impregnated webs, the pressure on the press assembly at the start of the curing zone is built up in stages to 70 to 130 bar, especially 100 bar, maintained in the central region of the curing zone and reduced in stages at the end of the curing zone. The device for carrying out this process has an unwinding station with a plurality of unrolling devices for the impregnated paper webs or other fibre-containing webs. This device is characterised by a heated curing roll and heated curing segments distributed around this, the press assembly being guided between the curing roll and the curing segments. <IMAGE>
