<p>PURPOSE:To enable a device for cleaning a tapered shaft hole to carry out automatic cleaning, by forming a communication passage for jetting fluid to the inner wall surface of the tapered shaft hole, in a main shaft adapted to be fitted into the tapered shaft hole, and as well by applying a cleaning member on the outer peripheral surface of the main shaft. CONSTITUTION:A main shaft 3 is clamped by a spindle 2. When cleaning fluid is pumed from a supply source 40, the fluid flows through a passage 34 in a positioning device 25, a passage 33 in a body 17 and a passage 32 in the main shaft 3, and is then jetted from an opening part 35 at the front end of the main shaft 3 into a tapered hole 5 in the spindle 2. The jetted air flows through a passage 10 which is defined between a tapered sleeve 9 and the inner wall surface 5a of the tapered hole 5, and is jetted from the end face of the spindle 2. When the spindle 2 is driven for rotation in order to rotate the main shaft 3, a cleaning member 9a on the tapered sleeve 9 is rotated by means of a gear mechanism 12, thereby the tapered hole 5 is cleaned.</p> |
