The invention relates to a rail wheel with rubber suspension, in which wheel the wheel tyre (7) is seated on prestressed rubber bodies (8) arranged in an outer circumferential groove of the wheel rim. One half of this groove is formed by a leg (3), having a circumferential shoulder (4), of the wheel rim whilst the other half of the groove is formed by a non-divided rim ring (5) which also has a circumferential shoulder (6).
