Burner for coal dust

The invention proposes the use of a burner for coal dust which is distinguished by a simple construction and is characterised in that a core air channel for a mixture of coal dust and primary air, and an envelope air channel, concentric with this, for the combustion air have an associated ignition device which can be arranged inside the core air channel. This burner is especially suitable for coal dust with a high proportion of volatile constituents, and because of its simple construction is also suitable for small furnace plants.
