Process for the desulphurisation of, and dust removal from, SO2-containing gases, in particular flue gases

SO2-containing flue gases, in particular from coal dust furnaces, are desulphurised in that they are conducted into fluidised bed reactors in countercurrent to activated coal dust (fine granular coal). In the course of this, the coal dust becomes laden with SO2. After thermal desorption of the SO2, this is processed further; the coal dust (possibly after multiple use) is burnt in the coal dust furnace.
