ERROR DETECTING AND CORRECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To ensure information with high accuracy by providing a means detecting or correcting the missing or erroneous correction of the 2nd decoder. CONSTITUTION:An output of the 1st decoder circuit 3 is inputted to the 2nd decoder 4 and also inputted to an interpolation condition discriminating circuit 5. An output of the 2nd decoder 4 is inputted to an interpolation circuit 6 and the interpolation condition discriminating circuit 5. The interpolation condition discriminating circuit 5 detects the missing and erroneous correction of the 1st and 2nd decoders 3, 4 and generates an interpolation signal. The interpolation circuit 6 interpolates the decoded output of the 2nd decoder 4 by the interpolation signal of the interpolation condition discriminating circuit 5.
