A method of enhancing the activity of high silica zeolite, i.e. a zeolite having a silica-to-alumina ratio greater than 100, which involves compositing the zeolite with a support matrix, calcining the supported zeolite, treating same with boron fluoride, hydrolyzing the boron fluoride treated supported zeolite, contacting the hydrolyzed supported zeolite with a solution of an ammonium salt and then calcining the final product in order to obtain a supported zeolite having enhanced activity. |
