PURPOSE:To improve operability and reduce error in copying by displaying the number of recording media on a conveyance path and the number of return originals on a specific display device alternately if abnormality of conveyance occurs. CONSTITUTION:Original sensors, jam sensors, etc., are arranged at specific positions in a copying machine, and a jam display part 58 and copy quantity display device 59 are provided to an operation part. If conveyance abnormality such as a jam occurs, the number of recording media on the conveyance path and the number of return originals are displayed on the display device 59 alternately at specific intervals of time by using a timer while a display part 58 blinks. Thus, the number of recording media is grasped to remove them without leaving in the machine, and such operation that return originals are compared with copy paper at every time is eliminated to improve the operability, reducing errors in copying. |
