PURPOSE:To consider the power consumption in the separate conveying operation of an original separately and suppress the total power consumption by performing the separate conveyance and the exposure of the original without overlapping. CONSTITUTION:The automatic original feeder consisting of an original feeder part A which separates and conveys one of plural originals and an original setter part which feeds the original to an exposure position is provided over the main frame C of an image forming device. The original, conveyed by an entire surface belt 23, is stopped at a prescribed position then a copy signal is sent to the main frame C to start taking a copy. When the copying operation is completed, a signal STANDBY is sent from the main frame C and the original feeder part A operates to perform conveyance again. Therefore, the conveyance separation and exposing operation of the original are carried out without overlapping, so the electric power in the separate conveyance of to original is considered separately to suppress the total power consumption. |
