PURPOSE:To decide the acceptance or rejection of a figured cloth material accurately by using the result of a visual acceptance/rejection decision and the result of an acceptance/rejection dicision based upon contrast due to a shift or fog of a pattern in combination. CONSTITUTION:When a placing table for a sample 1 stops at a specific colorimetric position, a spectrophotometer 3 measures a reflection factor distribution corresponding to each wavelength of reflected light from a specific area of the sample 1; and a color specification values at the colorimetry position is calculated from the measurement output, respectively summed up, and the mean color specification value is regarded as a standard color specification value. When the color difference between the mean color specification value and a standard color specification value is compared with permissible difference to perform an acceptance/rejection decision. Further, the difference in color specification value at each measurement point is calculated to calculate the difference between said difference and the difference in color specification value from the reference sample, and the difference in color specification value is compared with permissible value to make an acceptance/rejection decision. |
