PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of an assist grip in a vehicle compartment, by rotatably inserting, into the attachment surface of a body, one end of a grip core material made of normal iron plate strip or the like, for constituting the assist grip, so that a resiliently curve-deforming resilient member of high price is useless. CONSTITUTION:One end part 10a of a grip core material 10 is, rotatably toward the inside of a vehicle compartment, hinged by means of a hinge pin 9 to a hinge bracket 3 secured to the attachment surface of a body within a cover 18. Meanwhile, the other end part 10b of the grip core material 10 is inserted into an inserting hole 24 in the attachment surface of the body, and then the curved part of the core material 10 is engaged and locked to a stopper 13 so that the grip core material 10 is laid along the attachment surface of the body, evenly therewith. By this arrangement, the grip 1 is disengaged from the stopper 13 when the grip 1 is held and pulled toward the inside of the vehicle compartment by fingers 29, and then, the other end 10b of the core material 10 is engaged with the pawl part 16 of a stopper 17, thereby the grip 1 is protruded toward the inside of the vehicle compartment and is held in this state. |
