PURPOSE:To vary the injection rate freely by forming the face cam such that the plunger lifting speed will increase linearly to the maximum point then decrease linearly while providing a timer mechanism rotatable against the drive shaft. CONSTITUTION:Upon rearward motion of pin 59, a control sleeve 45 will rotate to vary the relative position of a volume regulation lead 46 and a leak hole 47 to move the cam speed region for injecting fuel into the cylinder to S3-S4, for example, while to move the cam angle region to theta3-theta4. Consequently, the injection rate will increase to delay the injection timing. In order to vary only the injection rate, the sleeve 45 is first rotated to drive a timer piston thus to correct the fuel injection timing.
