PURPOSE:To make a stay lightweight as well as to reduce the number of manufacturing processes, by making up a symmetrical-form member in a way of cutting in halves a light alloy-make shape material whose hollow part is divided into sections with each partition wall, while utilizing this partition wall for setting to a car frame. CONSTITUTION:A stay 5 is manufactured with a lightweight alloy-make shape material 8, while this shape material 8 is formed into a square section and provided with each partition wall 10 which divides its hollow part 8 into several chambers. In addition, at angular parts of both side walls 11 and the square part of the shape material 8, each screw groove 12 extending in a longitudinal direction is formed. The shape material 8 is cut off as long as length of the stay 5 at a right angle to the longitudinal direction. This cut shape material is cut in halves so as to become oblique and symmetrical form and therefore two stays 5 are obtained from each shape material being cut. With a top wall 5' of a car frame 15 and the stay 5 both clamped with a bolt 16 and a nut 17, the stay 5 is set to the car frame 15. At this time the bolt 16 is made to be screwed in the partition wall 10 whereby setting strength is improved. |
