PURPOSE:To prepare a mechanically and thermally tough ceramics-metal bonded body, by forming a ceramic film to the surface of a metal substrate, and forming a ceramics layer having voids thereon while forming a dense ceramics film as the uppermost layer. CONSTITUTION:A conc. chromic acid solution and a slurry containing SiO2 and Al2O3 and/or a conc. chromic acid solution are applied to the surface of a metal substrate and subjected to heat treatment to form a ceramics film. Subsequently, a wet body consisting of a fine powder such as ZrO2 subjected to stabilizing treatment and a conc. chromic acid solution is molded on said ceramic film under pressure and, after cured by heat treatment, the formed molded body is impregnated with a slurry consisting of a conc. chromic acid solution and stabilized ZrO2, SiO2 and Al2O3 and a conc. chromic acid solution and heat treatment is applied to form a relatively thick ceramics layer. In the next step, the formed ceramic layer is coated with a slurry consisting of a conc. chromic acid solution and SiO2 and Al2O3 and a conc. chromic acid solution and heat treatment is applied to form a ceramic film to obtain a ceramics-metal bonded body wherein plural ceramics layers and the metal substrate are strongly bonded. |
