PURPOSE:To provide a soil of high water-retaining potential, etc., by incorporating an inorganic soil with a matter containing a large quantity of activated silicic acid component and a humus matter containing specific amount of humus precursor to restore the balance in bacteria while promoting conversion to humus. CONSTITUTION:The objective modified soil can be obtained by incorporating an inorganic soil with (A) a matter containing a large quantity of activated silicic acid component such as fine volcanogenic glass powder, fine rock powder, etc. and (B) at least the same amount, with the matter (A), of a humus matter containing humus precursor (i.e., an intermediate product in the process of changing organic matter into humus, including metabolites, namely, secretion of bacteria) so that the ratio of the organic matter in the humus matter itself to the total inorganic matter contained in said matter (A), the inorganic soil and the humus matter itself falls >=5wt%. |
