PURPOSE:To produce the titled compound in high selectivity and yield, by reacting a gaseous mixture containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the presence of catalyst comprising Rh-Mn-Fe-Li and optionally added with Ir, Ti, etc. CONSTITUTION:A gaseous mixture containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen (preferably the volume ratio of CO/H2 is 0.2-4) is made to react at 180-350 deg.C under 0-250kg/cm<2>G pressure in the presence of a catalyst composed of Rh, Mn, Fe and Li wherein the atomic ratios of Rh:Mn:Fe:Li are 1:(0.01-4):(0.01-3): (0.01-2), to obtain the objective compound. The catalyst may be added with a component selected from Ir, Ru, B, Mg, Ti and V at nearly the same amount as Mn. |
