PURPOSE:To prevent a coil from damaging due to thermal stress by forming a gap between the sheathing insulator of an exciting coil and the inner wall of a slot. CONSTITUTION:Exciting coils 6, 61 respectively contained in slots 5, 51 are wound in the prescribed number of turns with hollow conductor 10 having a cavity 11 therein. Gaps 12 are formed between a sheathing insulator 8 of the coils 6, 61 and the inner walls of the slots 5, 51. As a result, a gap 12 having a margin of the degree capable of freely elongating or contracting the coils 6, 61 due to the temperature changes of the coils 6, 61 can be formed in the slots 5, 51 between the coils 6, 61 and the inner walls of the slots 5, 51. Therefore, the temperature rise can be reduced by the oil cooling in the conductor, and free elongation and contraction can be performed in the slot, and the insulator released from thermal stress can be prevented from damaging or the coil can be prevented from breaking. |
