PURPOSE:To discharge a sheet properly to a prescribed position on a discharge tray by allowing the transport speed of a final transport means for discharging the sheet onto the discharge tray to be set less than the sheet transport speed in an image forming apparatus, in a high-speed machine. CONSTITUTION:On the sheet 9 on which a toner image is printed in a copying machine body, the toner image is fixed by a fixing roller 11 and transported towards a paper discharge port. When the rear edge of the sheet 9 which passed through the fixing roller 11 is detected by a sheet sensor 12, a single multi 14 is operated by the detection signal. Then, a circuit switching apparatus 15 is switched to a low-voltage supplying circuit 17 side from high-voltage supply circuit 16 side by the output signal of the single multi 14. Therefore, the speed of revolution of a driving motor 13 for revolving a terminal transport roller 4 is reduced, and the final speed of the sheet 9 sent onto a discharge tray 8 is decelerated, and the sheet 9 is properly discharged to a prescribed position in the discharge tray 8. |
