PURPOSE:To reduce the number of component parts provided under a platen and enable to make small in size and to make flat the entire body of a printer, by providing a pressure plate for respectively and selectively positioning pressure rollers by an external operation. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure plate 62 is manually turned counterclockwise in a paper-feeding condition wherein the pressure rollers 52, 54 make contact with a platen 40, a deflector 42 is lowered under gravity, and is turned clockwise with a guide member 56 as a center, so that the pressure roller 54 comes into contact with the upper surface of the pressure plate 62. When the plate 62 is turned further counterclockwise, the pressure roller 54 is pushed up to adjust the turning angle of the deflector 42, resulting in a paper-inserting condition wherein both of the rollers 52, 54 are maintained with a predetermined spacing between them and the platen 40. When the plate 62 is then turned clockwise, the deflector 42 is again lifted up to return to the paper-feeding condition. Accordingly, the number of component parts can be reduced. |
