PURPOSE:To effectively perform the separation of dust adhered to a discharge electrode without lowering dust collecting capacity, by performing hammering in such a state that a charge rate is lowered for a definite period in synchronous relation to hammering when the discharge electrode is hammered. CONSTITUTION:A charge rate setting altering signal is sent to a signal detecting apparatus 7 in synchronous relation to the hammering timing of a discharge electrode 1 from a control unit 9 through a timer 8 and a charge rate is lowered for a definite period to sufficiently perform the dust separation of the discharge electrode 1. When charging is continuously performed, the charge rate is lowered to 1/2-1/3 over the signal period on the basis of the charge rate setting altering signal which is outputted from the timer 8 for a definite period in synchronous relation to the hammering of the discharge electrode 1 during hammering and, when charging is intermittently performed, the set charge rate up to the present time is lowered to an one or two-rank reduced charge rate over the above mentioned period to perform operation. |
