Thermoplastic film-forming compsn. comprises (a) a copolymer contg. 80-95 wt% propylene together with a 4-10 C alpha-olefin and (b) 25-90wt% on total compsn. of a second polymer of a 4-10C alpha-olefin copolymerised with 0.10wt% on wt. of copolymer of a 2-10C alpha-olefin. Films formed from the compsns. have excellent heat sealing properties and are esp. useful for application as coating layers onto substrate films such as polypropylene film. Pref. propylene polymer (a) is a copolymer of propylene with 10-15wt% butene-1. Pref. the polymer (b) is a homopolymer of butene-1.
