PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a tool exchanging device by carrying out the transfer and exchange of tools by a tool transfer mechanism between a magazine and a tool pot provided on a tool exchange mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A guide bar 403 is supported horizontally on the side of a tool storing magazine 200 and extended between a specific tool indexing position in the magazine 200 and an intermediate tool pot 301 provided on a tool exchange mechanism 350. A tool carriage is movably supported on the bar 403, and a tool clamping and transfer arm 402 is oscillatably supported on the carriage. In accordance with oscillatory and forward and backward movements of the arm 402 and reciprocating movements of the carriage, the exchanging of tools is carried out between the magazine 200 and tool pot 301. |
