The arrangement includes a frame (2) which is vertically adjustable w.r.t. a base and is designed as a container closed at all sides. Such vertical adjustment is effected by two pairs of pivotal operating arms (3). The arms are actuated by power extending devices (16-18) housed in the container. The exerting devices also function to pivot a further two pairs of operating arms (12) which serve to adjustably move a lying surface of the bed formed by a back, a seat and a leg. The pivot arms are mounted on respective shafts (4,14,15) extending through the container walls. |
