PURPOSE:To aim at reducing the influence of heat and vibration from the engine, affected to a drive solenoid, by coupling the drive solenoid by means of a rod with a valve for opening and closing the communication between an exhaust passage and a subchamber to change the volume of an exhaust pipe. CONSTITUTION:A subchamber 11 in an exhaust device 10 for a two-cycle engine 40 is composed of a hole 41b formed in the peripheral surface 41a of a cylinder block 41 and a cap 42 for closing an opening edge 41b' of the hole 41b. The subchamber 11 is communicated with an outlet port 43, as an exhaust passage, through a passage 44 in which is fitted a valve assembly 13 having a mushroom type valve 12 for opening and closing the passage 44. The valve 12 is linked to a solenoid 27 for opening and closing the valve 12 by means of a link mechanism 20 and a rod 25. |
