PURPOSE:To convert any bacterial strain belonging to Lactobacillus genus to protoplast in a yield of as high as >=90%, by using N-acetylmuramidase SG produced by Streptomyces globisporus in combination with albumen lysozyme. CONSTITUTION:A bacterial strain belonging to Lactobacillus genus is treated with N-acetylmuramidase produced by Streptomyces globisporus in combination with albumen lysozyme in the presence of a disaccharide such as sucrose, lactose, etc. at 30-40 deg.C and 6.0-7.5pH under slight agitation at a rate of <=30 cycles/minute. |
