PURPOSE:To attain quick changeover and to eliminate noises at the transition from normal reproduction to still picture reproduction by adding a value adding a prescribed value to a time difference between a video missing signal and a head changeover signal during tape running control delay time. CONSTITUTION:When a still picture reproduction command button 40 is de pressed, a delay circuit 41 retards a CTR signal (c) by a time t1 and gives the result to a tape running control circuit 42. The circuit 42 stops a capstan motor 25 via a drive circuit 27, a reproduced video signal (f) is inputted to a detection circuit 43 and when a video missing signal (g) is sent, it is fed to an operation circuit 44 together with the head changeover signal (a). Then the time difference signal (h) between the signal (g) and a synchronizing signal (b) is fed to a correction circuit 47 and the delay circuit 41 is controlled based on the signal (h). The control is applied by increasing the time t1 by a video missing position signal h(t1+t2), where t2 is a time between the signals (g) and (a). |
