PURPOSE:To produce L-isoleucine in high efficiency, by culturing a microorganism having a recombinant DNA of a vector DNA and a DNA fragment containing the gene of enzyme participating in the biosynthesis of threonine. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Corynebacterium genus or Brevibacterium genus and having a recombinant DNA of a vector DNA and a DNA fragment containing the gene of enzyme participating in the biosynthesis of threonine from aspartic acid, e.g. the pEthr1-containing strain K41 of Corynebacterium glutamicum K40 (FERM-BP No.456), is cultured under aerobic condition, and L-isoleucine is separated from the cultured product. |
