Machine which inserts components into circuit board - using suction tubes picking components from magazine and carrying to circuit boards

The inserting machine has magazines to hold the components. A transfer plate (31) is located opposite the magazines' outlets and conveys the components (11) from the magazine to the circuit board (41). The transfer plate has numerous retaining tubes (29) connected to a vacuum system and holding the components by suction. The retaining tubes are interchangeable and spring loaded. The ends of the retaining tubes projecting from the transfer plate have different lengths depending on the thickness of the components. A calibration plate (27) has holes (19) corresponding to the components and is located between the transfer plate and the circuit board. The calibration plate decides which components will be picked up.
