Process for the production of poly-alpha-cyancacrylic acid esters by reacting formaledehyde or compunds releasing formaldehyde with cyanoacetic acid esters of the formula see diagramm : EP0128443,P9,F1 in which R denotes an alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or phenyl radical, each having 1-10 C atoms, in the presence of 0.001 to 0.05 mol of basic catalysts, characterized in that the reaction is carried out continuously at temperatures of 50 - 200 degrees C, under a pressure of 1 to 100 bars and with a residence time of less than 20 minutes by continuously introducing the reaction mixture into a reactor, mixing it with a catalyst, passing the mixture through a reaction zone at the reaction temperature and distilling off volatile substances.</p> |
