PURPOSE:To enhance pressure fixability in an electrophotographic or electrostatic printing method or the like by coating core particles with a shell material contg. a photodecomposable substance. CONSTITUTION:A microencapsulated toner is obtained by coating core particles with a shell material composed essentially of a photodecomposable substance. A mercury arc lamp or low-pressure Na lamp, laser beams, etc. are usable as a light source. Hard polymers each capable of forming a film and cuttable preferentially in its main chain to the side chains by irradiating it with said light in the air are used as said photodecomposable substance. A preferable material for the core material of the encapsulated toner is a material effective for pressure fixability, such as synthetic or natural waxes, higher fatty acids, higher alcohols, etc. Such a structure can enhances image quality and pressure fixability. |
